ADHD-friendly tips to help you stay focused while cleaning! (link to video)
Clean ONE room (or area within a room) at a time
DO NOT LEAVE the room while cleaning it (this is how you get side tracked, forget what you were doing, and start a dozen other projects)
Get a bunch of boxes, designate each box for a different room in your home
While cleaning, if something doesn't belong in the room you're in, put it in the box for the room it does belong in
After you're done cleaning that room, take your boxes to the next room and repeat this process.
I like to wait until after I've finished cleaning a room to put items from that room's box away — it feels less overwhelming to me.
